Account Director, Change and Internal Communications, Hill & Knowlton

One of Canada’s largest and most successful communications, public relations and public affairs firms is seeking an Account Director to join a strong and growing change and internal communications practice.

Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, the ideal candidate will have significant experience in leading teams to deliver broad-based internal communications programs to a diverse group of private and public sector clients.  As Account Director, the candidate must ensure that client satisfaction is maintained at the highest level by applying strategic thinking and planning, deploying resources and monitoring client projects on a day-to-day basis.

Successful candidates must demonstrate:

  • 5-10 years experience in planning and delivering internal communications programs, including perception audits, environmental scans, literature reviews, stakeholder mapping, key messaging and developing strategies, programs and plans. Must also have experience developing appropriate and leading-edge channels and tactics and measurement programs.
  • A broad based knowledge of internal communications research, methodologies and best practices.
  • An ability to manage teams, large budgets, complex accounts/client programmes, or multiple client activities simultaneously.
  • Experience with developing new business strategies, retaining and expanding the firm’s business products and services.
  • Strong facilitation skills with experience working at the executive level.
  • A proven track record developing and closing new business opportunities, experience leading proposal development and presenting to clients/prospects
  • Team building, mentoring and professional development experience

Candidates must possess superior communications skills, a strong client- service attitude and thrive in a diverse, fast-paced team work environment.  Bilingualism is an asset.
