The Canadian Association of Broadcasters (CAB) is the national voice of Canada’s private broadcasters, representing the vast majority of Canadian programming services, including private radio and television stations, networks, specialty, pay and pay-per-view services. The CAB requires a bilingual Director of Communications to join its team.
Director, Communications
Reporting to the Vice-President, Communications, the Director, Communications, will provide writing and editorial services; develop and implement communications and media relations strategies; and provide other communications services.
The incumbent will excel in this role by having superior writing and editing skills, communications/ media experience, knowledge of Internet communications strategies, as well as issues management experience. Familiarity with the Canadian broadcasting industry would be an asset. Strong interpersonal skills and a university degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field are essential.
