Publications Coordinator
As part of the communications team, the ideal candidate is an effective team player, able to work with a large degree of independence, initiative and resourcefulness. Bilingualism (strong reading, written and oral skills in English and French) is mandatory.

Responsibilities:
Working with a team that includes an external contract editor in chief, the director of communications, a communications assistant and other staff members, the publications coordinator manages all elements of development, editing, and production of key CASLPA communications vehicles, including our quarterly flagship newsletter Communiqué, our quarterly research journal The Canadian Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (CJSLPA), monthly electronic news bulletins and the bilingual CASLPA website.

Qualifications:
• At least 5 years experience in publications management.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills in both English and French with sound knowledge of both APA and CP styles.
• Degree or diploma in related field – communications, public relations or journalism
• Previous experience with research/academic journals and newsletter production.
• Strong website management capabilities and hands-on experience with html and web design programs, preferably Dreamweaver.
• Extensive knowledge of current computer software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office products. Desktop publishing and design experience with InDesign, Pagemaker or Quark is essential.
• Ability to set priorities and coordinate tasks with strong organization and effective interpersonal skills.
